I started Letter A because founders kept coming to me with some version of the same problem: “I have a logo, but I still don’t have a brand.” Closing that gap — between an assortment of assets and a world that hangs together and means something— is exactly what I built Letter A to do.
I knew that gap well because I lived on the other side of it. Prior to starting Letter A, I lead creative teams at kate spade new york, Kate Spade Saturday and Bumble and bumble — beloved brands with soul and spirit. Working in-house is where you learn what a brand really needs: stories to tell for almost 365 days a year, a point of view that holds up everywhere, and a vision to stand for beyond what you sell.
